Interdisciplinary Art Project Kobe（インターディシプリナリー・アート・プロジェクト・コウベ）3回目となる今回は、1960年代より、日本、アメリカやドイツを中心に実験映画、個人映画を牽引してきた映像作家・飯村隆彦氏の個展上映および映像パフォーマンスを元町映画館で行います。
また、今、注目の技術であるAR(拡張現実)を使った写真・映像作品を元町商店街4丁目で展示いたします。2019年9月に「IAPK vol.2」で行われたARワークショップで制作した作品です。無料でご覧いただけますので、神戸の散策の合間にどうぞご体験ください。

飯村隆彦 Takahiko Iimura
1937年、東京都生まれ。1959年慶應義塾大学法学部卒業後、実験映画の制作を始める。1960年代にハプニングのオノ・ヨーコ、画家の赤瀬川原平、作曲家の小杉武久、暗黒舞踏の土方巽らの前衛芸術家の協力のもと、 8ミリや16ミリの前衛映画を個人で制作する。1964年に実験映画集団「フィルム・アンデパンダン」を結成し、日本の個人映画史上最初の実験映画祭を行なう。1965年、実験映画『LOVE』がニューヨークの実験映画のリーダー、ジョナス・メカスによって高く評価される。1969年にビデオ・アートの制作を始め1974年にN.Y.近代美術館、1979年にはホイットニー美術館で個展とパフォーマンスを行ない、個人映画作家として国際的に評価される。代表作に『OBSEVER / OBSERVED』（1975）、『あいうえおん六面相』（1993）、『SEEING / HEARING / SPEAKING』（2001）。著書に『芸術と非芸術の間』（三一書房、1970）『映像実験のために』（青土社、1986）など多数。第19回（2015年）文化庁メディア芸術祭功労賞、受賞。

お持ちのスマートフォンに専用アプリをダウンロードしていただき、展示写真を読み取ると、まるで写真が動き出すかのようなARの技術を使った映像作品をご覧いただけます。写真にまつわる、それぞれの短い映像を見ていくと１つの短編映画になります。
【講師】
韓成南（Sung Nam HAN）
在日コリアン３世として神戸市に生まれる。シングル・チャンネル、映像インスタレーション、AR作品の展示や“スーパーリニア”という概念をもとに制作した映像×演劇×ダンスのアートパフォーマンス上演等、活動は多岐に渡る。近年は、ブルーバックによるキーイングという映像合成技術を用いた鑑賞者参加型のインスタレーションや映像パフォーマンス作品、携帯電話、小型カメラやモニターを用いたウェアラブルな映像作品やポケッタブルな映像を見ることについて考察した作品を制作する。2014年よりInterdisciplinary Art Festival Tokyoのディレクターを務め、2019年よりArt in Country of Tokyoを立ち上げる。国内外のアートフェスティバルで展示・発表を行っている。

神戸で定期的にワークショップや映像上映会、パフォーマンス、レクチャーなどのイベントを開催し、Interdisciplinary Artという観点で、枠組みを超えたからこそ属しきれない、実験的で先鋭的なアートを紹介します。歴史を再考しながら、現代アートによる国際文化交流を行い、神戸らしさとは何かを探求します。

Takahiko Iimura
Born in Tokyo in 1937. After graduating from the law department at Keio University in 1959, he began making experimental films. With the help of figures such as performance artist ONO Yoko, the painter AKASEGAWA Genpei, the composer KOSUGI Takehisa, and the Butoh dancer HIJIKATA Tatsumi, IIMURA produced his own 8 and 16 mm avant-garde films. Forming the “Film Independents”, an experimental film group, in 1964, he organized the first independent, experimental film festival in Japanese history. His 1965 film AI (Love) was highly acclaimed by Jonas MEKAS, a leading light in New York’s experimental film scene. In 1969, IIMURA shifted to video art, holding solo shows and performances at the Museum of Modern Art, New York in 1974 and the Whitney Museum in 1979, and gaining an international reputation as a video artist. Among his most notable works are Observer / Observed (1975), AIUEONN SIX FEATURES (1993), and Seeing / Hearing / Speaking (2001). He has also published many books, including Geijutsu to hi-geijutsu no aida (Between Art and Non-Art) [San-ichi Publishing, 1970], and Eizo jikken no tame ni (For Visual Experimentation) [Seidosha, 1986].

Sung Nam HAN
Director of Art in Country of Tokyo (AICOT) and Interdisciplinary Art Festival Tokyo (IAFT), Sung Nam HAN makes her artworks based on the theme of “What watching a video is,” such as interactive art installations made through a blue background editing method known as keying, wearable / pocketable video works that utilizes smartphones, small cameras or monitors. Also she exhibited AR works and doing art performances focus on the concept of “super linear” that combine video, play and dance. Her activities cover a wide range of areas.
