2019年11月8〜10日に開催したアートイベントにて行われた公開パフォーマンス作品「ナニカヲイワウ」の実録ビデオとドローイングを展示。東京の三鷹駅前で、一般参加者と共に３日間延々と「祝われない」ものをイワう祝典を行うというもの。

2021は水道橋のスペースの借主となり、同時にワサビ作りの為に奥多摩通いが始まった年でした。
路地と人で行った新年会の片付け、2月に行ったこのよのはる桜前線公開レジデンス及び水道橋東口での路上ライブ、総武線、月例食事会(3回で終了してしまいました)、5月のワサビ田風景です。

1992年生まれ。埼玉県在住。
インスタレーションを中心にその場所や地域の社会的な部分と自分の身の回りに起きたことや経験をつなぎ合わせるような作品制作・発表をしている。またプラスマイナス０といったような都合の良い思想を常に携帯している。

「本を木に戻す。」というコンセプトで私は、本を材料にして、木に還元することをしてきた。とても簡単な発想である。歩んできた道を間違いなく引き返せば家に帰れるように、本の素材である紙の原料が木であるなら戻るはずだと考えた。木は根から水を吸い上げ、大量に茂る葉まで運び上げる。本は様々な知識や情報を吸い上げ、多くの人々のもとまで運び届ける。この多くのものを集めて分配するという構造は木が元々持ち合わせた能力である。そして形を変えてもなお静か運び続けている。

パラレルな身体と憑依をテーマに、時間的・空間的隔たりを越えた活動を展開する。リサーチとパフォーマンスを基に映像や彫刻などの手段で、メディアと人間との関係を探る。近年参加のグループ展に「Journals 日々、記す」 東京都現代美術館、「「新しい成長」の提起 」東京芸術大学美術館(ともに2021)等。

「盲目の爆弾、コウモリの方法」（32分版、2020）は第二次大戦中に日本がアメリカを攻撃した「風船爆弾」を題材にしたドキュメンタリー。目撃者証言や米軍の文書記録を手掛かりに、「コウモリ」や妖怪「手の目」といった空想の助けを借りながら、人間と遠隔技術の関係について、ある視覚的な解釈を提供する。

ダンサー/振付家
2001年に体の観察をテーマにしたダンス作品『解剖実験シリーズ』を始動。2015年８月、Singapore Arts Festival 2015にて『１５年の実験履歴』を上演。2018年4月からベルリンでのダンス活動を開始。同年6月、ソウル美術館の展覧会<Against Architecture>で「Anatomical Experiment-3 request version」を、10月にURBANRAUM（ベルリン）で『Wander』を発表。

《ピニャータ》は、ノックス作の詩の、ノーベル賞受賞作品（高行健『霊山』）の翻訳者メーブル・リーによる中国語訳に基づいて作られている。作品中では、マルコ・ポーロとドクター・フーの物語の軌跡が混交し、驚くべき娯楽的効果を生み出している。《ピニャータ》は、口承伝説の信憑性、文化の純粋性、家父長制、そして真の愛に対し疑問を投げかけている。ただしそれは、すべて斧によって行われる。協力：リンジー・ウェッブ、マット・ファチェス、メイリー・ハント、音楽：闵惠芬（ミン·フイフェン）、パフォーマー：トム・リバード、エレナ・ノックス、テイク・キム・ポク

一つの目的のために、一つの部屋で、制限された時間単位で繰り返されるラブホテルに来る客の痕跡をカメラは静かに撮影していく。好奇心やプロファイリングの観点なしでは見られない映像は、対象者が匿名であるならば、という人々の奥にある倫理観を揺さぶる。

伝統の花瓶でいう、高台、胴、土などの基本は踏襲しながら、造花をいけるという作品群になります。

河合政之 Masayuki Kawai
映像の本質についての考察やメディア社会批判の観点から、先鋭的な映像に哲学や政治が交錯する独自の作風でヴィデオ作品を制作する。映画、現代美術、メディア・アート、ライヴ・パフォーマンスなど既成のジャンルに捕われない幅広い作風と活動を展開。
浜崎亮太 Ryota Hamasaki
禅などの東洋的なコンセプトに詩想や西欧哲学などの要素を組み込み、立体や映像の作品を制作。
また河合政之と共にアナログなヴィデオ機材を大量に用いたライヴパフォーマンスなども行なっている。
『ヴィデオ・フィードバック・ライヴ・パフォーマンス』
河合政之・浜崎亮太のライヴ・パフォーマンスは、2009年より東京都現代美術館、東京都庭園美術館、ニューヨーク大学、マギル大学（モントリオール）、オンサイト・フェスティバル（台北国際芸術村）など国内外で広くおこなわれてきました。そのコンセプチュアルでテクニカルなユニークさと完成度は、トーキョーワンダーサイト《トーキョー・エクスペリメンタル・フェスティバル 2012》特別賞を受賞するなど、高い評価を得ています。近年では〈アートバーゼル香港2018〉やパリの〈ASIA NOW〉など、海外を中心に発表されています。東京での公演はおよそ5年ぶりとなります。この機会にどうぞご高覧ください。

Interdisciplinary Artという観点で、発表の場や観客が固定されてしまう現状を打破し、ジャンルに依拠しない活動を行うアーティストを発掘、そして新たな観客や価値を創造するために、Far East Audio Visual Socialization(FEAVS)が母体となり、2009年に設立しました。演劇とも言えず、音楽のライブとも断言できず、映画の上映会に限らない等、様々なジャンルを横断し表現活動を行うアーティストをフィーチャーし、よりダイナミックで現代社会に即したアートフェスティバルを行うことで、新たな価値をクリエイトし、人と人とをつなぐことを目的としています。
枠組みを超えたからこそ属しきれない、実験的で先鋭的なアートを歓迎し、紹介することで、アーティストの発表の場を拡張し、より多くの観客に新しい自由な観点と豊かな驚きを提供/普及させることを意図としています。表現者側と鑑賞者側、相互間で創造と価値をフィードバックしていき、新たなアートが生まれるための土壌を作り、アートシーンを活性化させることを目指します。明確なコンセプトの元で革新的な表現を行うアーティストをフィーチャーした新しいフェスティバルです。

After my career as a sculptor, I am now interested in aged buildings still dwelling in the city, and people appropriated to. I am currently spending life in planning exhibitions with them for instance. This sensation on the tongue left by their mumbled-out words, or the shining scene behind the eyelid. I thus began to take 8 mm, to reflect the inner sentiment of being born inside the city.

Cleaning up the New Year’s party with alleys and people, Konoharu Sakura Front public residence in February, street live at Suidobashi east exit, Sobu line, monthly dinner (finished in 3 times) , It is the scenery of Wasabi field in May.

THE BOOK OF TREE
With the concept of “returning books to wood,” I have used books as materials and reduced them to wood. It’s a very simple idea. I thought that if the raw material of the paper, which is the material of the book, is wood, it should come back, just as if you definitely turn back the way you have taken, you can go home. The tree sucks water from its roots and carries it to a large number of foliage. Books absorb a variety of knowledge and information and bring it to many people. The structure of collecting and distributing this many things is the ability that trees originally possessed. And even if it changes its shape, it still carries it quietly.

Kota Takeuchi develops his activity across temporal and spatial divides in the conceptual method of parallel bodies and possession. Based on research and performance, he explores the relationship between media and human natures by videos, sculptures, etc. He participated in the group show “Journals” (Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo), “New ways to grow”(The University Art Museum, Tokyo University of the Arts),(2021) etc.

“Blind Bombing, Filmed by a Bat” (32 min version, 2020) is a documentary film about the “balloon bombs” that Japan used to attack the United States during World War II. Using the witness interviews and U.S. military records as clues, the film offers one of the visual interpretation of the relationship between humans and remote technology with the help of fantasies such as “bats” and the Japanese yo-kai monster “Te-no-me (eyes on hand)”.

Natsuko Tezuka Dancer / Choreographer
Tezuka produced her Anatomical Experiment series with the theme of body observation in 2001. She performed “some experiments in decade and a half” at Singapore Arts Festival on August 2015 and at Asian Arts Theatre in Korea on May 2016. She moved to Berlin for works at Berlin from April 2018. She performed “Anatomical Experiment-3 request version” at Exhibition <Against Architecture> in Seoul Museum of Art on Jun, and “ Wander” at URBANRAUM (Berlin) on October , and “ Dive into the point” at Kyoto International Performing Arts Festival on October 2018.

Based on a Chinese translation of Knox’s poem by Nobel Prize winning translator Mabel Lee (Gao Xingjian, Soul Mountain), Piñata blends the narrative trajectories of Marco Polo and Doctor Who to startling and entertaining effect. Piñata manages to call into question the veracity of oral narratives, cultural purity, patriarchy, and true love, and does it all with an axe.
Sung Nam Han
Director of Interdisciplinary Art Festival Tokyo (IAFT), Interdisciplinary Art Project Kobe (IAPK), and Art in Country of Tokyo (AICOT), Sung Nam HAN makes her artworks based on the theme of “What watching a video is,” such as interactive art installations made through a blue background editing method known as keying, wearable / pocketable video works that utilizes smartphones, small cameras or monitors. Also she exhibited AR works and doing art performances focused on the concept of “super linear” that combine video, play and dance. Her activities cover a wide range of areas.

The camera quietly shoots the traces of these guests, creating video images that cannot be viewed without curiosity: the subjects’ anonymity provokes perspectives that encourage profiling and destabilize ethics.

Masayuki Kawai
Masayuki Kawai creates video works in a unique style that offers radical visions of philosophy and politics derived from his consideration and criticism of informational society and the essence of media. His exploratory techniques and activities are unconstrained by genres such as film, contemporary art, and media art.
Ryota Hamasaki
Ryota Hamasaki invites the poesy and the Western philosophy into the Eastern concepts such as Zen to create his 3D objects and video work. His artistic practice also includes live performance using a large number of analog video equipment, executed with Masayuki Kawai.

Kawai and Hamasaki have shown Video Feedback Live Performance since 2009. The performance has been done and highly praised widely in the world including Art Basel Hong Kong 2018 and Asia Now 2018 in Paris recently, Singapore Art Museum, Tokyo Contemporary Museum of Art, New York University, McGill University in Montreal, Les Instants Video in Marseille, Cent Quatre in Paris, Melbourne Festival, On Site Festival in Taipei, Cairo Video Festival and many more in museums, galleries and music festivals etc.

In 2009 IAFT was founded, as a reincarnation of “Far East Audio Visual Socialization(FEAVS),” to shatter the current norm of fixed spaces and audiences; and to discover artists who create new values going beyond the borders of artistic practice. We feature artists who engage in interdisciplinary practice, creating new values that connect people by introducing more dynamic art festivals that reflects contemporary society. Our purpose is to provide new and free perspectives that enrich people with inspiration – expanding the opportunity for the artists to present their works, by introducing experimental and avant-garde art. We aim for both creators and viewers to mutually share their feedback with each other: build the foundation for new art, and rejuvenate the art scene by featuring innovative artists with clear concepts and new visions.
